Take some time to find your CCD imagers' focus point and use a Sharpie marker and mark that point on the focus tube. Each time you set up, just move the tube to your marked focus point for real close focus. You may have to tweak the focus a little but this will save a lot of time and trouble. s

As a safety measure on a ST-8XE, to avoid the camera from becoming loose and falling to the ground. I made a safety cable (shown above) to solve the problem. I also placed black electrical tape around the screw to keep it from scratching the imager.
I had problems with my FSQ being to (Back End Heavy) with the CCD imager and other equipment attached.. So I bought this 5 lb. ankle weight and just wrapped it around the tube with a little help from the rubber bands you see.. It fixed the problem. Still enough room for a dew heater strap.
To avoid light from leaking into the CCD imager where the color filter wheel joins the imager. Consider wrapping the seam with black electrical tape to solve the problem.
I had a problem keeping my RoBo Focuser bracket mounted to my Tak FSQ focuser block. I used the two-sided tape they sent with it but it kept falling off. I also tried to glue it that wouldn't work either. So I CAREFULLY drilled four holes in the block and bolted it as shown. (Be sure that the screws are short enough as not to interfere with the focus gears under the block) You are able to buy a new block from Texas Nautical Repair if you decide to sell the scope without the RoBo focus or change focusers.
I had a problem mounting an SBIG adapter, which allows you to simultaneously connect your filter wheel & auto guider to the imager. To fix this problem, I placed two-sided tape under the adapter and a large zip tie (snugly fastened) to prevent the tape from coming off. *See Photo.
