1. Here are 2 web sites that will show you exactly where to place the Polaris on the dial. This first site you will need to follow the three easy steps (you will need to give it your Longitude in one of the steps) then it will calculate and show you where to place the Polaris on your dial. This 1st site you need to be ON LINE to use it. http://www.optique-unterlinden.com/pratique/polarisfinder1.4-en.htm. Try this one first just to see what it does for you. Then go to the next site.

2. Now this 2nd web site is a free download that you just save to your desktop and it will also show you exactly where to place the Polaris on your dial. But you DO NOT have to be on line to use this one after it is downloaded. I don't know exactly how it does it, but I think it uses your computers time and calculates it all together for you. You can check it for accuracy against the first site if you like.. It's dead on!!! www.trutek-uk.com/takahashi/ The file you want to download is-- Polar.exe 26-Apr-2007 19:18 36k. Just save it to your desktop and open it from there to use it.

I hope this info is helpfull.
