Most of the images on this site were imaged from my residence in Philadelphia, PA, approximately 5 miles west of Center City. I began CCD imaging in 2000 and because I don't yet have a permanent observatory, I set up and break down my equipment each night. I don't mind... as it keeps me very familiar with my equipment. I will, however, enjoy the day when I have a house in the suburbs with a permanent observatory.
I am mostly self-taught, therefore, a lot of what I've learned has been through trial and learning. I would have it no other way... because in the short time I've been imaging, I've gained a lot of experience and learned a lot of do's and don'ts. My family doesn't know what to make of all the time and MONEY that I invest into what they consider "just a hobby". But to me, it's a passion that I will always have time or MONEY for.
